Information and Frequently Asked Questions about the 24th Annual Chicano/Latino and Native American Celebration.

Where do I pick up my Grad ticket and buy guest tickets? Graduate receives one FREE ticket. Tickets can be purchased at the Chicana and Chicano Resource Center, Pollak Library South 171, Monday -- Thursday 8:30am-6:30pm, and Fridays 8:30am-4:00pm. Ticket sales: March 12th –May 9th or until sold out.

What is the requirement to participate? Participants must have and expected graduation date of Fall 2011, Spring 2012 or Summer 2012.

Can I still participate if I did not get and invitation via E-mail? All students who anticitpate graduating in Fall 2011, Spring or Summer 2012 are invited to participate in the event. If a student did not receive an invitation and will be graduating in Fall 2011, Spring or Summer 2012, you are still welcome to participate. Go to the CRC to RSVP.

What does the general admission include? The admission includes a full course meal and program.

How many tickets can I buy? There is no limit to the number of tickets purchased. However, tickets are sold on a first-come, first-serve basis. Tickets are Non-Refundable/Non-Replaceable.

Can Tickets be purchased at the door? No. Tickets can ONLY be purchased through the Chicana and Chicano Resource Center in PLS- 171.

What do I get for participating? Participating students will receive a certificate and graduation sash. You must be in attendance to receive a sash. Any sashes left over will be sold for a cost of $25.00.

How should I dress? Business attire and/or semi-formal wear is recommended. Graduates are strongly encouraged to bring their cap and gown to the event.

What if I can’t participate, can I still get my graduation gifts? There is NO guarantee that sashes will be available after the event. Should there be left over sashes students can purchase a sash for $25.00.

Can children attend the event? Yes, children are welcome to attend. Tickets must be purchased for children 5 and over.

How is seating coordinated? Seating is open and is on a first-come, first-serves basis. Guests are encouraged to arrive early to the event to select seating in a desired location.

What if I need special accommodations? (Wheelchair access, hearing impaired, crutches, deaf, etc) Please contact Rosalina Camacho at (657) 278-3928 to inform the committee of your needed accommodation. To insure the correct accommodation is secured, Ms. Camacho should be contacted at least two weeks before the event. (Friday, April 27, 2012).

Do I have to be Chicano/Latino or Native American to participate? No, you do not have to be Chicano/Latino or Native American to participate. All students are welcome to participate. An RSVP Card will need to be filled out to insure their name is added to the program.

Will there be a slide show this year? Yes! Class of 2012 Graduates participating in the 24th annual Chicano/Latino & Native American Graduation Celebration are welcome to submit copy ready pictures showcasing community service, fundraisers, philanthropies, campus events, family gatherings, milestones, etc Please include the type of event and the people in the picture along with your first and last name. All pictures must be received no later than April 20, 2012. NOT all pictures will be used in the slide show Please e-mail: all pictures to: crc@fullerton.edu.

*** (Very important that graduate candidates fill out an RSVP card when they pick up their ticket. A RSVP card received by April 13th will insure their name is added in the program. ) ***
