Course Reserves -General Information

The Course Reserves collection contains supplementary course materials (sample exams, sample projects, copies of articles, books, solution manuals, approved textbooks, and original media materials) provided by faculty or the library in support of course curricula. These materials are separated from the general collection in the Library and have restricted terms of use. These materials are presented in either print format or electronically depending on their contents.

Reserves Desk Hours:
Monday-Thursday: 7:45 am-9:00 pm
Friday: 7:45 am-9:00 pm
Saturday: 10:00 am-6:00 pm
Sunday: Library closed

Location:

Circulation Desk, 1st floor, Library South

Types:

materials in print are available at the Circulation Desk, 1st floor, Library South, and can be borrowed for a limited time period. Loan periods are specified by the instructor. materials that are made accessible directly online. media materials are available at the Circulation Desk, 1st floor, Library South, and can be borrowed for viewing at the Media Commons across from the Circulation Desk.
 
Check-out Limits:
Eligible patrons may check out up to three Print Reserve items or one Audiovisual Reserve item.
Loan Periods:
Loan periods are set by the instructor and usually based on class size and availability of the item.

Please note: All Print and Audiovisual Reserves must be returned to the Circulation Desk.
Fines:
Late fees for Course Reserves items are as follows:
$1.00 / hour for hourly items $1.00 / day for daily items

Replacement:

Replacement charges will be billed at the cost of the lost item plus a processing fee of $25 and any applicable late fees.

Holds:

No holds are allowed on any reserve items. All reserve items are available on a first-come-first-serve basis to ensure that reserve materials are fairly accessible to all students.

Renewals:

Reserves materials cannot be renewed unless permitted by the instructor. For hourly items: a student must wait at least one hour before checking out the same item. For daily items: a student must wait at least one day before checking out the same item again.

Returns:

All Print Reserves must be returned to the Circulation Desk (1st floor, Library South).

Please note: Not all courses use reserve materials, so please check with your instructor if you do not see anything listed or contact the Reserves Desk at libraryreserves@fullerton.edu or 657-278-2720 to verify.

Electronic Reserves are PDF files that can be accessed directly in Blackboard.
Print and Audiovisual Materials are available at the Circulation Desk, 1st floor, Library South, and can be obtained with a call number and valid Student ID.
